2010 - The Kenda Rally Returns better than ever!
Ride Report - 2008 Kenda Rally
Alexandra District Motorcycle Club
P.O Box 444 Ringwood Victoria 3134
The Alexandra District Motorcycle Club regrets to inform the Dirt Bike community that the 2009 Kenda Rally has been Cancelled.
The 2009 Kenda Rally, which was to be held on Sunday May 24th 2009
in the beautiful Rubicon Valley near Eildon in Victoria’s high country,
has been cancelled due to Bushfire damage to some tracks and much of the surrounding bushland region.
Some fires in the area have now been burning for several weeks (since early Feb 2009), and fires are still impacting the northern area of the proposed course. Even if the remaining tracks somehow remain miraculously unaffected, it is expected that track closures and access restrictions will be put in place to allow bushland recovery, revegetation and prevent unnecessary erosion.
At this time the Alexandra District Motorcycle Club in conjunction with major sponsors Kenda Tyres and Nolan Helmets does plan to hold the Kenda Rally again in 2010 if circumstances allow.
Kenda Rally Background:
This event is not a race. It’s a fun run for registered bikes & riders. The Kenda rally is one of Australia’s longest running trailbike rally’s. Our long running sponsorship agreement with the Ron Angel organization has us up rating our involvement with Kenda tyres as the naming rights sponsor.
Kenda Tyres, Nolan helmets, EK Chain, Mobil lubricants, AFAM Products and K&J Thomas Motorcycles Whittlesea remain as our long running support sponsors.
The Alexandra & District Motorcycle Club supports responsible & sustainable trail riding in the region. The event is run with the full approval of the DSE, Forests Victoria and Parks Victoria.
All motorcycles that enter the event will have full registration & noisy bikes will be sound tested before starting the event. All riders must be licensed.
In 2008 there were around 500 riders who enjoyed the challenging trail around Lake Eildon in Victoria’s beautiful high country.
Future events have been capped at 500 riders, so that we can ensure a professional and well run event with no bottlenecks, so get your entries in early!
Previous entrants will have entry forms sent to them. Entry forms will also be available at all dirt friendly Motorcycle shops.
Entry forms will generally be available for download from the ADMCC web site from January.
Regular updates on the course will be posted on the ADMCC website to keep you informed in the run up to the Rally. Your riding number and instructions will be mailed out to you in the weeks leading up to the event.
